Saplings of Change: Growing Sustainability
On Saturday 18th February, we hosted The KTJ Crimson Club x Free Tree Society Event which involved planting 33 species of plants, including an Ilang Ilang tree, symbolising our commitment to sustainability.
35 students, including the event's organizer, Daniel Harith, enthusiastically participated in the event. It was truly uplifting to have KTJ Principal, Dr Glenn, join us alongside students in this endeavour. Ms Rina and Mr Amin from the Free Tree Society offered invaluable guidance throughout the event, enriching the experience for everyone involved.
The event's tagline, "One Tree Up!", beautifully captured the essence of our shared endeavour, highlighting the significant impact of individual actions on the environment. As the saplings took root, so did a sense of camaraderie and responsibility among the participants, inspiring a collective dedication to nurturing and protecting our planet.
The Crimson x Free Tree Society Event served as a testament to the transformative power of unity and collective action in addressing environmental challenges. Through our shared commitment and dedication, we left an indelible mark on both hearts and landscapes, fostering a deeper connection to nature and a renewed commitment to sustainable practices. Additionally, we planted a variety of flowers like Bunga Melur (Jasmine) and shrubs, further enhancing the biodiversity of the area and promoting ecological balance.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the KTJ staff for their essential contributions, which truly exemplified the spirit of collaboration. Additionally, it was wonderful to see the teaching staff join in, further reinforcing our collective dedication to environmental responsibility.
