KTJ wins Muri Award at SEA Forensics 2024!
I recently attended the 44th Annual SEA Forensics & Debate competition, hosted by ISKL, with a 26-member strong KTJ team.
We anticipated it to be a typical contest. Little did we know that it would turn into an extraordinary experience, surpassing the expectations of a mere competition. Picture this: a room filled with palpable excitement, housing participants from various schools across Malaysia, each showcasing their unique talents and skills.
The competition featured diverse categories such as Original Oratory, Oral Interpretation, Solo Acting, Duet Acting, Impromptu Speaking, Debate, and Extemporaneous Speaking. Regardless of the category, it transcended being a mere test of intelligence; it became a measure of one's resilience and determination.
While we encountered challenging moments, the ultimate highlight was securing the Muri Award for best school overall. We also clinched gold and silver in Duet Acting, gold in Solo Acting, silver in Original Oratory, gold in Impromptu Speaking, gold in Extemporaneous Speaking, and several finalists. After extensive hard work and rigorous practice, each medal symbolized the sweetest taste of victory.
In retrospect, it wasn't solely about the competition; it encompassed an unforgettable journey of personal growth, forging friendships, and discovering my strengths along the way. Looking back, I am sincerely grateful for being part of such a remarkable experience. I hope to participate again next year, aiming to bring back more medals and continue this incredible journey.
