Cricket Match KTJ vs Roots International School from Pakistan

On Monday 17 November, we were honoured to host a cricket team from the Roots International School from Rawalpindi, Pakistan.  It was the final match of their tour and we were lucky to have such good weather without the interruption of rain.  We lost the toss and were sent in to bat. Disaster struck in the first over when KTJ's Ethof was run out but Hariprasad and Shaun steadied the innings and put on a good partnership to take the score to 80 before they retired and gave the rest of the team a chance to bat.

At the end of our allotted 20 overs we scored 106 runs; Hariprasad 33 and Shaun 34 being the top scorers. The Roots School made a good start but our bowling was too strong for them and they were all out for 86. At a short presentation ceremony at the end of the game, gifts and certificates were exchanged. It was a very pleasant day’s cricket and it is pleasing to see our cricketers gaining in confidence and developing their skills.
