KTJ offers an extensive and diverse programme of co-curricular activities (CCAs), with over 100 options for students to explore. This rich variety is complemented by an exciting range of trips and experiences Beyond the Classroom, enabling students to broaden their horizons while discovering lifelong interests and developing essential skills to help them Make It!

Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs)

The Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) programme at KTJ is designed to provide a truly holistic education, supporting students to thrive not only academically, but socially and emotionally. Rooted in the principles of engagement, exploration and personal development, the programme encourages every student to participate fully in school life and discover their individual strengths and interests.

Through a diverse range of activities spanning arts and culture, community service, science and technology, and sports, students are inspired to develop a genuine love of learning that extends far beyond the classroom. By embracing new experiences and challenges, they build confidence, resilience and a strong sense of purpose.

Central to the programme is the development of good character and ethical leadership. Through service initiatives, leadership opportunities and collaborative activities, students cultivate qualities such as integrity, empathy and teamwork, forming the foundation for responsible and principled leadership.

A strong emphasis is also placed on global citizenship and social responsibility. By engaging with local and international issues, students gain a deeper understanding of diverse cultures and perspectives, preparing them to contribute meaningfully to an increasingly interconnected world.

Ultimately, the CCA programme supports students in leading happy, balanced and fulfilling lives. By promoting well-being, self-discovery and personal growth, it equips them with the skills, values and mindset needed to flourish both at KTJ and beyond.

The vast majority of CCAs are included within the tuition fees, ensuring broad access for all students, while a small number of specialist activities, such as Golf and Yoga, are offered at an additional cost.

Beyond the Classroom

At KTJ, learning extends far beyond the classroom through an exciting and ambitious programme of trips and experiential learning opportunities. Alongside our established participation in FOBISIA sports events, the coming academic year will see an expanded range of experiences designed to broaden horizons, build independence and create lasting memories for our students.

Highlights include international opportunities such as a ski trip to Switzerland and a sports tour to South Korea, alongside a wide variety of academic, cultural and adventurous trips. These experiences are carefully curated to enrich students’ learning, strengthen friendships and develop confidence in new environments.

In the past academic year alone, KTJ delivered 204 trips across 208 days, including 41 overnight and adventurous experiences, reflecting the scale and ambition of our Beyond the Classroom programme.

We recognise that overseas trips can represent a significant financial commitment for families. To support forward planning, we have created a dedicated Beyond the Classroom magazine, providing a clear overview of upcoming opportunities and helping families to plan and budget accordingly.
